Special steel offers several attributes such as heat, weather and corrosion resistance which generic steel lacks. These properties vary among different products, depending on their purpose. Accordingly, special steel is widely used for many critical components found in machinery, equipment and vehicles. In light of their numerous applications, quality is crucial. Appropriately, China Nickel Resources has in place a comprehensive system for monitoring every stage of production. Beginning with raw material inspections, the Group's quality control system extends to encompass detailed spectroscopic analysis of molten steel samples and thorough review of work progress. The Group also conducts laboratory analysis on its products using oxygen and nitrogen testing devices while samples of finished products subsequently undergo comprehensive assessments. Externally, the Group's products are examined annually by the National Center of Analysis and Testing for Non-ferrous Metals & Electronic Materials, to ensure full compliance with PRC national standards.

In 2000, the Group's bearing steel was classified as ‘quality-branded products' in Henan Province. On 1 June 2004, Henan Province's Quality Control Information Center awarded the Group with an honorary certificate acknowledging the quality of both its products and after-sales services. In addition, China Special Steel has been ISO9002 compliant since 2001, a reflection of its commitment to meeting the highest international standards in terms of quality management.
